1st Assistant Band Director
Mrs. Garrett has been with D.C.H.S. sense 2004 as the music teacher. During which time, she turned a dieing music program around, and started it on the path you see today. However she decided to step down and become asst., when herself and Mr. Garrett had twin boy in 2008.
She now teaches reading at D.C.H.S., and on top of being her husbands right hand she also advises, and directs the Christmas Madrigals every year.
Mrs. Garrett is her husbands right hand, and has the amazing ability to see what the music should look like, and it is for that reason that she writes all of our outstanding drill.
She is a graduate of Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucky. Her principal instrument is the Trumpet, however Mrs. Garrett is fantastic when it comes to teaching any instrument. While at Cumberland, she studied with Dr. Richard Byrd.
Mrs. Garrett love the kids, and it is very clear that what she does...she does for them.
